George Washington was an Inventor?
Have you ever heard instant coffee being credited to George Washington’s name?
George did invent instant coffee – that’s George Constant Louis Washington born in Kortrijk, Belgium in May 1871. He was an American inventor who became well known for inventing the first mass-produced instant coffee. At the time, he was living in Guatemala where he noticed dried coffee on his coffee carafe. Experimentation brought him to the creation of “Red E Coffee” – his own brand for instant coffee first marketed in 1909.
We’ve come a long ways with instant and quick brewing coffee methods since then, haven’t we George?
