Coffee May Not Trigger High Blood Pressure
If you are holding a cup of coffee, do not fret.
It may not be a cause for high blood pressure as once popularly thought.
A recent report by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition compiled six studies that have examined over 170,000 people for over 30 years.
The findings suggest that risk of high blood pressure is no greater for people drinking 5 cups of coffee a day as for people drinking 1 cup a day.
Some are saying the evidence in the report is non-conclusive. It is common knowledge that high blood pressure causes certain ailments such as heart disease, stroke and shortened life expectancies. Some scientists and researchers are still suggesting coffee may be a culprit.
